I’ll be teaching two art workshops at Happy Family Night Market.
Introduction to Marbling
Discover the magic of floating color and learn how to create beautiful designs using both Suminagashi (Japanese) and Ebru (Turkish) methods of marbling. Marbling on paper consists of ink or paint floated on the surface of thickened or un-thickened water. Paper is then placed on top of the floating design and quickly lifted to reveal a one of a kind print. Have fun and use your creativity to make something unique!
Workshop Time: 12:00PM - 2:00PM *drop in* Ages: Children 11+ & Adults Location: Room 202
Community Mural with Kids
Kids will create a community mural using various art materials like paint and pastels to create a large scale abstract piece of art. We'll use various tools like brushes, sponges, rolling pins and cotton balls to spread and splatter etc. This experience is focused on the process of making something together, sharing materials and using our senses. Participants should be ready to get a little messy!
Workshop Time: 3:00PM - 4:30PM *drop-in* Ages: Children 3+ with Adult Supervision Location: Garden
